The City Government, through the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, organized the GAD TALK: โ€œGrowing Awareness, Driving Changeโ€ A Gender Sensitivity Training Series at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State โ€“ Mid-La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC) Covered Court last December, 2025.

The event commenced with an inspirational message from City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, highlighting the value of women in our society.

The female employees of the City Government received a special tribute in the form of red roses and serenade from Manong Dong, City Councilor Hon. Ramon F. Laudencia together with City Councilors Hon. Kyle Eufrosito Y. Nisce, Hon. Joseph Clarence G. Valero, and Hon. Leonardo R. Soriano, Jr., Chief of Police (COP) PLTCOL Tristan Oliver B. Nara, and Chief of the Office for Public Safety (OPS) Mr. Augusto D. Gacayan.

Provincial Board Member Hon. Maria Rosario Eufrosina P. Nisce also delivered an empowering message on the need for a societal transformation in order to truly end discrimination against women.

The event was also graced by City Councilors Hon. Lilibeth G. Hipol and Hon. Nerissa Joy O. Almazan, and Barangay VAWC Desk Officers.
