CGSFLU RECOGNIZES MOST OUTSTANDING BARANGAY VAWC DESK OFFICES

The City Government, through the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, recognized the most outstanding Barangay Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Desk offices in an awarding ceremony on December 2025.
The Barangay VAWC Desk offices were represented by their respective officers, and the recognized barangays from the coastal areas were as follows:

🥇1st Place – Barangay Pagudpud, represented by Ms. Clarita S. Balba;
🥈2nd Place – Barangay San Agustin, represented by Ms. Janice F. Jarquio; and
🥉3rd Place – Barangay Ilocanos Norte, represented by Ms. Judy Ann F. Flores.
Meanwhile, the barangays from the upland areas that were recognized were:
🥇1st Place – Barangay Nagyubuyuban, represented by Ms. Rubielyn M. Ordoño;
🥈2nd Place – Barangay Masicong, represented by Ms. Rose Ann H. Gacayan; and
🥉3rd Place – Barangay Pao Sur, represented by Ms. Myrna D. Cordero.

Lastly, the barangays recognized from the inland areas were:
🥇1st Place – Barangay IV, represented by Ms. Patricia D. Guirnalda;
🥈2nd Place – Barangay Bungro, represented by Ms. Lorylyn A. Buenavista; and
🥉3rd Place – Barangay Abut, represented by Ms. Asuncion V. Laudencia.

The Barangay VAWC Desk offices that were recognized received certificates of recognition and monetary rewards.
The ceremony was graced by City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, Provincial Board Member Hon. Maria Rosario Eufrosina P. Nisce, and former City Councilor Mark Anthony A. Ducusin.
