CITY GOVERNMENT AWARDS OUTSTANDING VAWC DESKS ON WOMEN’S MONTH CULMINATING PROGRAM

CITY GOVERNMENT, KALIPI MEMBERS ELEVATE COMPETENCIES THROUGH PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

Female employees of the City Government of San Fernando, La Union (CGSFLU) and Katipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) members participated in a Personality Development Training held at Gender and Development (GAD) Building last March, in celebration of the Women’s Month.

On the first day, City GAD Office invited female employees of CGSFLU to attend the training on gender sensitivity, facilitated by Prof. Arlyce Georgia B. Pimentel and public speaking, led by Mr. Merven D. Aguado.

Meanwhile, KALIPI members learned the basics of cooperatives as discussed by Ms. Aurie Nellie A. Tumbaga and Ms. Luzviminda Valencia on the second day. In addition, Image Plus: Upscaling Personality Session was facilitated by Dr. Angelica Maranan-Maglanoc to conclude the training.

This training reinforces a gender-sensitive workplace and boosts confidence among women. Moreover, it empowers the women’s sector with basic entrepreneurial knowledge, and helps improve self-image, personal branding and professional presence.
