STUDENTS DEPICT VITAL ROLE OF WOMEN IN POSTER MAKING CONTEST

Students from different schools expressed their support in the celebration of women’s month through the poster-making contest held at the Gender and Development last March.

Contestants from Saint Louis College (SLC), Gifted Learning Centre, CICOSAT Colleges, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC), La Union High School, and Siboan-Otong Integrated School depicted their own illustrations of women in a Poster-making Contest with the theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.”

Among the judges who evaluated the posters were Ms. Germie O. Deang, City Information and Communication Technology Office Department Head, Ms. Aileen M. Cariaso, local artist of La Union, and Arch. Kris Louie P. Nana from Ace Group of Companies.

After the evaluation of the judges, the following winners were recognized during the awarding ceremony:

🏆Champion: Lord Julian Rudolph P. Flores IV (Gifted Learning Centre)
🥇1st: Roderick Cariño (CICOSAT)
🥈2nd: Stacie Aivy W. Balleras (SLC)


This activity was conducted by the GAD Office to foster the creativity of the youth while raising awareness about the vital role of women in all sectors and emphasizing their empowerment in the vision of “Bagong Pilipinas.”
